VOTE OF THANKS

We at the Legal Ideas Forum deeply appreciate everyone who participated in the entire process from nomination to voting and unveiling of winners in each category of the LIFIN EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2024 EDITION.

4 years ago, we took this initiative as an organization to recognize and honour legal practitioners, performing institutions, and distinguished individuals who have made meaningful impact in their area of practice and specialization and has shown capacity for greatness. Our primary focus was to reward excellence and hard work and this aspiration has resonated with many people in the legal profession which is the reason why the Award is one of the most anticipated legal events at the end of every year, with thousands of people pouring into the polling site to cast their votes for their preferred candidates.

On the 3rd day of January 2025, we unveiled winners in each category of the Award but I must point out that there are no losers in the LIFIN EXCELLENCE AWARDS. To be nominated is in itself a rare privilege and a testament of the enormous capacity you possess and therefore, we congratulate all participants.

During the period of voting, we experienced a heavy surge on the 1st day and few hours to the close of the poll on the last day of voting. We recognise the fact that a number of persons had difficulties voting and our technical support team lead by Allen Maranatha, did all within their professional capacity to resolve the issues and make sure that a greater majority cast their votes notwithstanding.

The outcome therefore represents the collective choice of votes cast on the polling website, stating equivocally that those who won in each category are in the best position to do so and that they have done excellently well during the year in review, for which they are now recognised and honoured.

It is therefore our admonishment that winners should not relent in their chosen endeavours and more so, this investiture should inspire them to do more. The reward for hard work is more work.

For our organizational Awards involving executives and members of the Forum, there truly is no better way to appreciate you for your enormous contributions to the growth of the Association than that you we confer on you the prestigious LIFIN EXCELLENCE AWARD which you deserve. To those who fell short of votes, remember, we celebrate you equally and appreciate your dedication and commitment and urge you to continue doing your very best to promote knowledge and justice.

From me, our panel of Judges, the entire organizing committee, our media team, executives and members of the Forum, we congratulate you all on your Award. Thank you all for being part of this exercise.

Please note, the Forum shall produce plagues for selected categories of the Award which shall be delivered to winners. Where and if the winners are located at distance where we may fall short of delivery funds, we may call on the recipient to assist in any way they can. Remember that the Forum is a non-profit, self funded organization and we shall make do with what we have while we also look forward to your support to do more.
